The day to day business of the company is run by a team of 9 staff, headed by a Managing Director.
Brain Zimunhu: Managing Director
Brian is the founding Managing Director of the Zimbabwe Microfinance Fund and ex-officio member of the board and all its subcommittees. He is responsible for development and implementation of the ZMF corporate strategy. Brian has vast experience in the financial services sector spanning licensing, regulation and supervision of microfinance institutions (MFIs) and mainstream banks acquired over a seven year stint with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe. He holds a B.Com. (Hons) Degree in Banking (NUST), Msc Banking and Financial Services (NUST), Masters in Microfinance (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and a Certificate in Banking.
Mr. John Banda – Operations Manager
John joined ZMF in June 2016 as Operations Manager. He brings with him a wealth of expertise and experience in development finance spanning over 27 years, from SME lending, retail microfinance, wholesale microfinance to consultancy. John was the Country Manager of ECLOF Zimbabwe for 10 years before joining Oikocredit, a global microfinance wholesale institution. He re-joined ECLOF International in 2012 as the Africa Regional Support Consultant covering Zambia, Kenya, Uganda Tanzania and Ghana. John holds a BSc Hons. Economics degree and MBA both from the University of Zimbabwe.
Ms. Angeline T. Chikwanda - Microfinance Officer
Angeline has vast experience in microfinance having worked in the sector for the past 13 years. She is one of the Microfinance Officers responsible for all the lending activities within the organisation. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Certificate in Leadership and Professional Development.
Mr. Baven Majattha - Microfinance Officer
Baven has extensive experience in the lending business having worked in the banking and microfinancing sectors for more than 10 years. He is one of the Microfinance Officers responsible for all the lending activities within the organisation. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies and a Diploma in Banking.
Ms. Fungai Muzambi - HR & Admin Assistant
Fungai is the face of the organisation. She is responsible for manning the front office and other associated duties. She holds a Diploma in Administration specialising in Secretarial Studies and has a vast of experience in both international and local NGOs.
Mr. Owen Ganyani - Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Owen is responsible for all the monitoring and evaluation activities across the delivery tiers from borrowing Financial Service Providers to beneficiary bottom of the pyramind (BoP) micro entreprenuers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation plus a Diploma in Education.
Mr. Kenani Antonio - Finance and Administration Officer
Kenani has finance and administration experience in both the NGO environment and the private sector. He is responsible for all the finance, administration and human resources issues of the organisation. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is currently studying the Master of Commerce in Accounting.
Ms. Sylvia Sithole- Environment and Social Performamce Management Officer
Sylvia has over twenty-five (25) years of program planning experience both in the NGO and the private sector. She is responsible for all the Greening and Social Performance Management issues for the organisation and its partners. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a postgraduate Diploma in Rural and Urban Planning and Bsc Hons Sociology.
Ms. Linda Chiparaushe – Finance Assistant
Linda plays a crucial role in handling the day to day activities of the finance and admin department of the organisation. She has finance and admin experience in both private and development sector. Linda is a holder of Bachelor of Accountancy Honors Degree.
